Kmart’s Big Layaway Giveaway!

KMart

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kmart for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Layaway used to be something that most, if not all department stores offered to their customers. Unfortunately, for a lot of retailers the layaway concept is one that has been left by the wayside in recent years. Also, many companies that do offer layaway now have fees associated with it.

That’s not the way it should be.

Just look at the different layaway pricing tiers of some of America’s largest retailers.  It’s prety clear who will save you the most money on your purchases this year:

A lot of families rely on layaway to get holiday gifts for their children and being charged for that priveledge isn’t really an option in the current economy.  Let’s face it, it can be hard enough just to budget the money for that “I gotta have it” gift without worrying about paying a premium for it.

Enter Kmart’s still 100% free layaway. Where other people charge, Kmart is still dedicated to getting you the stuff you need without tacking on a set of charges that you don’t.  Also, if you get your stuff layed away between September 9th 2012 and Novemeber 17th 2012, you’ll be automatically entered into Kmart’s Big Layaway Giveaway. That’s a chance to win a $500.00 credit towards your layaway balance or a $500.00 Kmart gift card.

Not too shabby, is it?

I’ve been there. Heck, I AM there! The list of things I’d like to get my kids this Christmas is expensive. If we had to pay up front, we’d be in a world of hurt. for example, I’ve been eying this for my 14 year old:

TV

Even though this is priced very competitively, there’ still no way we ould afford to drop all the money at once and still mskeit through to next payday without feeling a monstrous pinch. And that doesn’t cover all the other gifts we need to pick up!

We have a huge family. There are also a slew of educational tys for our 6 year old, gifts for nephews, granddaughters and other assorted family members.  It’s just not possible for us to put all the money out for the holidays at once.

I’m going to be honest. I’ve preferred Kmart over the competition for many years. Unfortunately, they no longer have a location near me. So if you’re lucky enough to have a Kmart in your area, get over there and get the gifts you need layed away now.  Not only will you have an early start on the holidays, you might even get lucky enough to have $500.00 of it paid off for you!
