A little while back, Pepperidge Farms contacted me to ask if I’d like to sample a few of their products and do a taste test. The plus was tat we got to give away our favorite products from the tasting to a lucky reader. Of course we’re huge fans of Pepperidge Farms here, so the answer was yes.
The following is our take on the new Pepperidge Farms Jingos crackers and Milano cookies. The opinions are 100% honest and we were not paid to provide them. We just got to eat them!
First, for the Crackers.
We were sent Parmesan Garlic, Spicy Cheddar and Lime & Sweet Chili Jingos. We tore into them with great anticipation and, in two out of three cases, those expectations were met, but we’ll start in order of least favorite to most favorite.
Lime and Sweet Chili Jingos!
At first glance I was pretty sure that this was going to be my favorite of the bunch. I’m a huge fan of both lime and chili but for us, these just weren’t quite right.
They aren’t lying about the “Lime” in the name here. In fact, it’s all you can smell when you open the box. The chili isn’t aggressive enough to compete. They aren’t a bad cracker, but they really need a dip to help tame them.
Our Thoughts:
Me: They’re OK, but I won’t be rushing out to get more soon
Mrs. Cbsop: A no go for her.
Lil’ E.: Said he wasn’t fond of them, but then ate the entire box… So I’m not really sure what the verdict was there.
Lil’ B.: Noooooo! (He got better!)
Final thoughts:
If you’re a serious lime fan with a second love of heat, then you’re going to adore these. If the thought of sucking on citrus doesn’t appeal to you, then you’ll either need a good cheese dip or you might prefer to move on to…
Fiesta Cheddar Jingos!
We’re serious cheese cracker lovers and these are really good cheese crackers. They’ve also got just a touch of heat that me and my son appreciated, but left my wife leery, as she has an allergy to capsaicin.
Ultimately that left just three of us to try them.
Our thoughts:
Me: A good, solid cracker. Definite Cheddar flavor with a bit of heat. Would go great with dip or topped with grilled chicken. A winner.
Lil’ E.: Good. As in ”Gimme More!” good.
Lil B.: Ate them by the handfull until they were gone. I’m taking that as a positive thing.
Final Thoughts:
These are a good, solid snack cracker with just a bit of zing. I’ll buy them again. They’d be great with anything you usually serve cheese crackers with.
Parmesan Garlic Jingos!
These were, by far, our favorite crackers of the bunch. the flavor is punchy, tangy and oh-so-very packed with Parmesan flavor. Yes, the garlic is there too, but it’s not at all overpowering.
I really don’t know what to say about these, except that they were Fnn-friggin-tastic!
Me: Gobble, Pause, gobble.
Mrs. Cbsop: Gobble, slap husband’s hand away, Gobble.
Lil. E.: “Hey! gimme some more! Stop Hogging them!”
Lil. B.: (Being the smart one, brought Mom a cup to fill and left the room.)
Final Thoughts:
Wonderful. Amazing. Great. Go buy yourself some (If you don’t win them first.) These are just plain awesome crackers.
And now, for the cookies!
Milano Slices Salted Pretzel
Hmmm. Now this is simply a matter of “something didn’t work for us. I’m not sure what it was, but the flavor of chocolate + pretzel + milano cookie just didn’t do it.
Me: First bite was good, but they soon lost appeal. Just “Meh”.
Mrs. Cbsop: One bite, shook head, gave cookie back.
Lil: E.: I like the other ones better. Can I have the rest? (Uncertain answer at best.)
Lil. B.: “I want Normal pretzels!”
Final thoughts:
These aren’t bad, they just aren’t as good as I think they should have been. If you’re a fan of the salty-sweet chocolate thing, you may have a very different opinion.
I’m not counting them out, they just paled in comparison to these:
Milano Melts Vanilla Crème Cookies
Somewhere between a sandwich cookie and “Oh-My-Goodness” is where you’ll find these little gems. They’re crunchy, sweet and the flavors contrast beautifully. In short, they were the clear winner.
Our Thoughts:
Me: These are good. I need milk.
Mrs. Cbsop: Mmmmmmmm. Yes! Go get milk.
Lil’ E.: Dad, these are great!
Lil’B,: (Was too busy doing something else by now.)
Me, back with the milk: Hey! Where are all the cookies?
Final thoughts:
Yes, they’re good. Very good. Scary good. You want these. You want them now. Trust me.

I have always loved Milanos; I think adding a bit of saltiness to them is perfect.
mmmm…. I do love Milano cookies! I tried one of the slices that had almonds on them (where yours had pretzels). They were delicious, but still not as good as plain old Milanos.
I can’t wait to try the parmesan garlic.
cute review thanks :)
