Cheesecake: Sweetness Overload

Cheesecake is a cake that is made of flavored and sweetened cream cheese or cottage cheese, milk, eggs, and sugar on a crispy base. It is a dessert that can be unbaked or baked. There are various flavors of cheesecakes existing, such as toffee, lemon, fruits, nuts and strawberry. It can be made from havarti, twarog, ricotta cheese, quack, or cream cheese.

 

Types of cheesecakes

 

Different regions in the world have different types of cheesecakes, such as: in North America there are numerous different recipes for cheesecakes depending on the region and the person baking it. They include good old American style cheesecake that is made from cream cheese, New York style cheesecake or Jewish style cheesecake made from heavy cream, eggs and egg yolks, Chicago style cheesecake that is firm outside and creamy inside and made from cream cheese, and Pennsylvania Dutch style cheesecake made from cottage cheese.

 

Cheesecakes known for other regions include Roman style cheesecake made from honey and ricotta-like cheese, French style cheesecake made from gelatin, German style cheesecake made from quark cheese, Bulgarian style cheesecake made from cream cheese, Australian cheesecake are unbaked and use passion fruit, chocolate, lemon, caramel, raspberry and vanilla flavors, and Asian style cheesecake that uses mango, lychee and powdered Japanese green tea flavors.

 

There are also different types of cheesecakes depending on the flavors used, such as pumpkin cheesecakes, coconut-lime cheesecakes, caramel macchiato cheesecakes, five-star chocolate cheesecakes, authentic German cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake, lemon cheesecakes, and cherry cheesecake.

General Recipe for Cheesecakes

Ingredients

2 boxes of chocolate

1 cup of melted butter

½ cup brewed coffee

4 eggs

1 cup of condensed milk

1 jar of ice cream topping

 

Method

Heat oven to 350Of and spray a pan with cooking spray

In a large bowl stir together all the mixes eggs, coffee and butter until it is well blended then pour into the pan.

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes and test with a toothpick if the cake is cooked. The tooth pick should come out clean

In a 1-quart saucepan, heat the ice cream topping and milk about 5 minutes, stirring continuously until the mixture is hot. Cool the brownies for 5 minutes poking with long-tined fork and wiping the fork with paper towel if necessary.

 

 

 

Advantages of Cheesecakes

Cheesecakes are typical food for majority of the working people since little time is used to eat them and that people tend to like sweet things. It is also good for social occasions because nice food has been adopted as dessert. You can also find vegetarian versions of cheesecake that uses tofu instead of cheese in its recipe. Some may have a high nutritional value.

 

Disadvantages of Cheesecakes

Cheesecakes have a lot of sugar, cream and eggs hence not suitable for people with diabetes and high blood pressure.

 

Common problems with Cheesecakes

Most common problems that occur in cheesecakes are the lumpy texture and cracked top. Cracked tops are caused by abrupt changes in temperature and much heat. Lumpy texture is a major problem and to prevent, this you have to ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before mixing.

There was a time when I would never turn down a piece of cheesecake. This is probably still true to this day.
