I hate stale coffee. Most people I know aren’t fond of it either. Unfortunately, if you work in an office environment then at some point during the day you’re faced with the option of either drinking the last little bit in the pot or taking time out of your day to brew more.

If you take the first option, you get to grimace a lot over a cup of burned sludge. If you take the second option you stand the risk of having everyone else in the office descend on the freshly brewed pot before you can get back to it.  It’s a lose-lose situation.

Of course, you could ask the boss to hire a full-time barista, but unless you’re working at an über-cool new Internet startup or fortune 500 company, the chances are that you’ll meet with resistance to the suggestion. That is if they don’t just laugh at you… A lot… Right before they send you to collate something.

What you might not run into an issue with is suggesting that your company get a free demo of the Tassimo Professional single cup brewing system. See, the key word here is “free”. Tassimo will send a unit over to your office for a trial and your boss can see that having a fresh cup of your favorite specialty beverage in the morning or at break time will make you happier and more productive.

Oh! You’re the boss? Well then. There are a few things you would probably find interesting about these units, too.

First, good coffee, tea or cocoa will make for a happier work environment. A single cup brewer means less need for clean-ups at the coffee station and, for those worried about it, the Tassimo professional uses an entirely different T Disk than the home units, so even if your employees own a Tassimo at home, they won’t be tempted to “borrow” a few disks for their pre-workday coffee.

Let’s face it. That antique drip coffee maker sitting in the break room makes a fair cup of coffee on a good day. If it’s an inexpensive office model, it makes a weak, lifeless coffee that nobody could possibly enjoy. I know. I lived with them for years when I worked in IT and the fine folks at the 673d Medical Squadron here at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Alaska are dealing with one right now.

Or at least they will be until I set up the Tassimo Pro that just got delivered on my doorstep. Yep, I’m going to give them the Tassimo Professional free demo so that they can have just a little bit of pure coffee love and admiration for a few days. They serve us, so I figured it was the least I could do for them. Are they excited? You betcha.  I’m gonna be a happy blogger when we plug that little baby in and see their faces.

Happy workers = more productive workers, and I can’t think of an easier way to keep your workers happy than by giving them the choice of what to drink during the day.  C’mon! It”s a free trial. Tassimo even covers the shipping. What is there to loose?

Don’t you want to see one of these in your office?

I do. So, if you’re an employee, ask your boss for a trial.  If you’re the boss, click one of the links in this post and get a free trial of the Tassimo Professional. It’s won’t cost you a dime.

And now, in complete sincerity and transparency. As stated at the top of this post, I am being compensated to write about this product. I have not, at this time, tried it. This is intended as a two part posting, with the first post simply describing the offer.

This coffee maker will be tested at my wife’s office.  We will be getting reactions from the people using it. I will be writing about those reactions here, and they will be reported accurately. Also, I will be sampling this product personally, as will my oldest son. Both of us are serious coffee fans and will give our honest opinions of the samples we received… But please note: since this is a professional unit, I can’t just run over to my local store and grab another flavor to sample, so I’m stuck with the samples that came with the machine.

I’ve researched this product verses others on the market and have very high hopes. It’s hard to find people saying bad things about the Tassimo, but I’ll let you know our experiences soon.

Until then, remember,

Food is Love. Share and Enjoy.
